Aviation Security Manager Course

Aviation Security Manager Course (Initial and Refresher)

This training is mandatory for any person with general responsibility at national or local level for ensuring that a security programme, and its implementation, meet all legal provisions.

At national level this is the person who has oversight of all questions of policy and practical implementation relating to security issues on behalf of the airport, carrier or entity.

At local level this is the person with oversight of all questions of policy and practical implementation for the whole site, or a significant area of it. (e.g. a terminal, the entire baggage make-up area, all cargo operations).

Initial training applies to anyone when they are first deployed to undertake the role of Security Manager.

Once the initial training has been completed, security managers require recurrent training at least every 36 months.
